The Townhouses in Threadneedle Street, Balwyn are 2 attached side-by-side townhouses designed for two related families. The site is located in a suburban streetscape with a prevalence of recently-built large period-style houses. This project introduces a new typology to the neighborhood: a contemporary two-dwelling project, which gives the appearance of a single house. Although the design is quite contemporary, it still manages to blend in with the neighborhood character by its prominent hip roof, and elevated single-storey look from the front street.
